We are currently seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist who will be responsible for providing overall direction, support and leadership in all aspects of project controls relating to our Aquila Mine site.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring risks are identified, reviewed and managed at the relevant level.
- Ensuring timely and accurate information is available to all stakeholders to monitor the project and make sound decisions and that the necessary controls are in place.
- Cost control and forecasting, planning and scheduling, breakdown structures, verification of invoices and variations, tracking changes and trends including time and cost implications
- Weekly and monthly reporting, monitoring progress of engineering and key project deliverables, document management, as well as risk management and coordination of audits and reviews.
Key to success in this role will be your demonstrated project controls skills within major projects, preferably gained within the coal mining industry. Proven project controls experience and relevant qualifications are critical to the role along with a detailed understanding of earned value methods and large ERP systems. This is a key project role and as such requires a highly organised individual with an analytical, collaborative and persuasive approach to project management. Your ability to build strong relationships with all levels in the organisation will enable you to effectively deliver project controls solutions to achieve the overall goals of the business.
This is a FIFO two-year fixed term contract based at our Aquila mine site in Middlemount working a 5:2 roster.
